Kilkenny Senior Camogie manager Anne Downey says they put in a ferocious effort in training last week to make amends for slipping up at home to Clare the previous weekend.
Speaking to KCLR on last nights “The way it is” after defeating Galway on Saturday, Anne says they were fiercely determined and focused in training last week….
“We got back to training on the Monday night, and collectively we spoke about the Clare game and they were bitterly disappointed and they absolutely put in a ferocious shift on Monday night at training and the training was brilliant and it went on then on Wednesday night and had to call a halt to the training as well”
“They were really looking forward to the Galway game and they knew themselves I suppose that they did have to up their performance, they did their best in Nowlan Park and things just didn’t happen for them and in their own minds they just wanted to go up and get back to winning ways”
“They knew that it was going to take hard work and that’s surely what they did on Saturday”
