It was a proud day for some local athletes.

Aoibhe Richardson, Peter Lynch, Shay McEvoy, and Hannah Kehoe from Kilkenny City Harriers have been named on the Irish team picked for European Cross-Country.

Both Peter and Aoibhe have been selected in the senior ranks while Shay will don the green in the under23 competition with Hannah competing at the under-20 level.
