Strength in depth of Kilkenny camogie squad “frightening” says Cork senior manager ahead of Sunday’s League 1 Final

Cork Senior Camogie manager Paudie Murray says Kilkenny’s strength in depth is frightening.

Speaking to KCLR ahead of Sunday’s National League Final, Paudie says that Kilkenny could put out a 2nd team and still be very strong.

“Their strength in depth is frightening really”, says Fogarty.

“I think they could probably put out two teams in the senior level and both compete very well there, so the strength in depth is pretty frightening.”

“We have been using the League to discover players, I think. It probably came against us in the All-Ireland Final last year that we are working off fifteen or sixteen players. You would hope they would come into the championship working off twenty or twenty-one players.”

“Granted if we lose but those players stand up and be counted (on Sunday), to me that is progression.”

Kilkenny and Cork meet once again in the Littlewood Ireland Camogie Division 1 League Final on Sunday at 1.30pm in The Gaelic Grounds, Limerick.
