Kilkenny & District League seek manager for women’s inter-league squad

Ever thought about managing a women's inter-league side? There's an opportunity to do just that in Kilkenny.

Kilkenny & District League are on the hunt for a women’s inter-league squad manager.

With St. Canice’s Credit Union stepping in at the outset of the season to sponsor the return of the women’s league in Kilkenny, seven teams are now competing locally including Thomastown United, Newpark, East End United, Lions, Evergreen and Carlow sides Mill Celtic and Vale Wanderers.

Next stop, the Angela Hearst inter-league cup.

“The Kilkenny & District League are currently inviting applications for the position of Manager for our Women’s Inter league Squad, the position will involve selecting and managing a squad to represent the Kilkenny & District League to participate in the Angela Hearst Inter-league Cup 2023. The ideal candidate will have a good working knowledge of the Woman’s game and will be able to organise various trials & attend games throughout Kilkenny, with the object of selecting the best squad available to represent the League.

All applicants must have current Garda Vetting and have completed Child Safeguarding 1. Please apply by email to Michael Coughlan League Secretary of the Kilkenny & District League @ [email protected] Before 7th Feb 2023.”

Eastern Women’s Football League were crowned 2022 winners, meeting Wexford & District Women’s League in Arklow lsat August.
