Former Cork All-Ireland Senior Camogie winning captain Anna Geary says the big question will be whether Kilkenny’s lack of All-Ireland winning experience in contrast to their opponents is going to be a major factor in the final.
Speaking exclusively to KCLR, Anna says that Kilkenny have every chance of upsetting the Champions…..
“Ann Downey feels probably she has unfinished business and she is going back in now against Cork”
“The last time Cork and Kilkenny (played) in 2009 with Anne Downey, she would have felt that they didn’t perform to their ability so I think it’s going to be a mouthwatering final”
“I know from playing with that Cork Team there is so many of them, they have been in the All-Ireland Final 7 times in the last 9 years and have won it 5 times”
“23 of those players in the Cork panel have All-Ireland medals whereas none of the Kilkenny girls have Senior All-Ireland medals, so I think is that going to be a bearing is the big question”
