Kilkenny Oscar Traynor League joint manager Jim Cashin says they are happy with the Squad ahead of Sunday’s All-Ireland Semi-Final Oscar Traynor clash against Galway.
Speaking to KCLR, Jim says preparations work best for them when the players are training away with their clubs.
He said “Since myself and Jim Nugent took over, last season we have done the same, we have let the players be with their clubs, that’s where they are at their best and the club scene has been very very busy especially since Christmas”.
“They are all going well and we are looking forward to Sunday and we are happy with what we have, we have one or two lads carrying knocks, we have a suspension but we are happy with the squad we have going in and we are hopeful” he said.
Meanwhile Galway & District League Oscar Traynor manager Victor Collins says they are confident of winning the Oscar Traynor Final if they can overcome Kilkenny in Sunday’s Semi-Final.
Galway have defeated the awaiting finalists Limerick on their way to Sunday’s Semi-Final, but speaking to KCLR, Victor says that are not thinking beyond Sunday’s game.
“We have seen them (Limerick), we have seen what they can do and I mean regardless of that, every match starts at 0-0 and it all comes down to your mental preparation as well as everything else, and all the hard work you have been putting towards the match, but we are not thinking about the final, our mind is for Sunday’s match against Kilkenny and we will take it one game at a time”.
