Cork Senior Hurling manager John Meyler says Kilkenny’s two goals came at a critical stages in yesterday’s League opener victory at home to Cork.
Speaking to KCLR after the game, John says that Kilkenny the goals had a huge affect on Cork’s momentum.
He told Oisin Lanagan “The result is disappointing. Kilkenny were by far the better team over the 70 minutes”.
“They were more cohesive, they were more supporting one another and they got two goals at critical stages in the game and it kind of stopped our momentum going forward and then the save by Eoin Murphy from Hoggie (Patrick Horgan) there towards the end of the second half could have set-up a hectic finish but it was a good save by Murphy” he added.
