General manager of Kilkenny Golf Club Sean Boland says that Rory McIlroy is a strong contender to win his first US Masters providing his putting is up to scratch.
Speaking to KCLR, Sean says that anyone could come from the pack to win the Green Jacket.
“Rory has the game for it and you would be hoping that he would. If he is on form he would be in with a great chance. I know Dustin Johnson probably is the one that everyone has to beat at the moment with the way he is playing, but if Rory is on his game and his putting is anyway up to scratch he should be well in there with a shout.
“Anyone could win it. I even see there this morning just downloading these draws to put them up on the board, I even see where the likes of Shane Lowry is 125/1 so anyone could come from anywhere really.”
