There’s another busy few days ahead for the Kilkenny Greyhound Stadium over the coming week, beginning with tonight with the semi-finals of the €32,000 Champion Unraced 525 series.
The sole aim, per Tom Kinnane, of all semi-finalists is to qualify for the €15,000-to-the-winner final. Racing in Kilkenny this evening also features the semi-finals of the Greyhounds Make Great Pets A3. There’s a large crowd expected with the card also serving as a fundraiser for Barrow Rangers GAA Club. In all, there are 11 races tonight with the first off at approximately 7.30pm.
Racing continues next week with an early start on Wednesday morning and a double-helping for the last weekend of the month with action on Friday and Sunday evening.
Events on Sunday will also feature the final of the €32,000 Champion Unraced and a fundraiser for Young Ireland’s GAA Club in Gowran.
