Kilkenny Greyhound Track, St. James' Park

It’s Friday, which means a card of racing at Kilkenny Greyhound Stadium and it’s back to a normal 7.30pm start.

The semi-finals of the RCETS A3 Sweepstake are down for decision with two competitive-looking contests in store.

Martin Taylor’s Clondoty Pauric and Stuart Kavanagh’s Apex Hunter are in flying form at present and they are likely to battle it out in the opening semi-final.

The Pat Carroll-owned Ballybough Bela was impressive in last week’s first-round win and she will be the likely favourite in tonight’s second semi-final.

Elsewhere, Tom Leahy’s Knockdrinna Celt had no luck in running last week but can lead all in tonight’s final race.

Gates open at the usual time with tonight’s first race off at 7.30pm.

Additional reporting Tom Kinnane.
