Kilkenny Rugby Club Head Coach Packie Henebry says their Towns Cup Clash against Carlow on Sunday will be a daunting prospect with his old Coaching Steve Ashmore as opposition manager.

Speaking to KCLR, Packie says Kilkenny operating at a higher level means nothing on Sunday.

“I worked with Steve for a couple of years in Kilkenny. He’s a great coach and he has Carlow flying it there, the results are great, we are keeping an eye on him there all season which we would anyway, but Steve is down there and he will have them well primed, and it’s down there which is a fairly daunting prospect”

“But look being a Division 1A Team I suppose we should be favorites, I don’t know, probably if we climb another place in the table we will be in our table (favorites)”

“Carlow in the Towns Cup they have a great history in it, maybe not in the last few years but they are right up there, they have the most Towns Cup wins”

“Look, we are looking forward to an old clash with Steve on the line, normally we used to be with him but now we will be against him”
