It was a busy day of championship hurling action in Kilkenny with the Senior and Intermediate league and shield finals, relegation battles and knockout hurling proper all taking place across the county from early afternoon.
Looking down the table there were big results for Ballyhale against the Village and Bennettsbridge against Tullaroan.
Sunday’s action saw two early games as Erin’s Own were helped by four points each from Martin Boran and Conor Fogarty to beat St. Martin’s 0-16 to 0-12 at Nowlan Park.
In the Michael Lynch Motors Intermediate Championship at Palmerstown, St. Patrick’s rose to the occasion to see off Graigue Ballycallan 0-16 to 1-08.
The draw for the next round of the championships will be held on Monday night.
