The Kilkenny team heading to Parc Ui Rinn on Saturday night in search of a third straight league victory from four games was announced on Friday night. The Cats are set to take on Cork under the lights at 7pm.
Having recovered from their opening round defeat to Waterford in this year’s Allianz National Hurling League, Kilkenny have seen off Tipperary and Galway in recent weeks at Nowlan Park while Cork suffered their third defeat in a row at the hands of Dublin last week on a 4-21 to 2-17 scoreline.
Brian Cody hasn’t been afraid to change things up and made no fewer than five changes last time out against Galway, including a start for James Stephens club man Jackie Tyrrell, with Shane Prendergast swapping sides for Paul Murphy.
This time out we’ve three changes. Jackie Tyrrell returns to the bench as Paul Murphy takes up a starting position, returning Shane Prendergast back to number 4. Diarmuid Cody rejoins the starting line up in the middle of the park alongside Conor Fogarty as Lester Ryan makes for the bench while James Maher is replaced in the forward line by Conor Martin.
