Kilkenny Intermediate Camogie Captain Aisling Curtis says losing out on an All-Ireland Semi-Final spot last year is a motivating factor in pushing on to produce an extra effort for this years League and Championship campaign.

Speaking to KCLR ahead of Sunday’s Division Two League opener against Cork at home in Callan, Aisling say they are as good as anyone around.

He said “From last year, we definitely we feel we put in a great season, but we were probably unlucky just at the tail end of it to be beaten out on two great teams who went onto be in the All-Ireland Final themselves from our group, and it came down to just score difference in the end which can be hard to take”.

“We are certainly ready now to take that into the coming year and we have a good set of management and trainers behind us as well as a great panel of girls, their is new girls in as well as a few of us from last year, we definitely feel like we can push on now in the new season”.
