Kilkenny LGFA v Limerick

The Kilkenny ladies team to face Limerick in Division 4 of the Lidl National Leagues was named on Saturday morning.

After a three-year absense, Kilkenny are heading back to the national stages for ladies football, building on a resurgence of the sport in Kilkenny in recent years. Defending county champions Muckalee are well represented with four players, including captain Kelley Comerford, named in the 15 on paper to start this Sunday.

Muckalee’s Kate Purcell, selected at half-forward, was also named as the first recipient of the 2023 Leinster LGFA Scholarship, collecting her award ahead of last weekend’s convention.
