Swapping London for France, Kilkenny man Peter Lydon is currently playing in the D2 Pro League with Rouen Normandy.
The former Kilkenny College man started his career with Stade Francais and played for several years in England with London Scottish, Bedford and Trailfinders, before landing once again in France.
He’s in flying form with his kicking stats very high at the moment.
Speaking with KCLR, Peter said his coach Richard Hill had a keen eye on his kicking stats when signing him:
“It’s one aspect of my game that I pride myself on, he was looking for a guy who could slot kicks and keep the scoreboard ticking over, luckily the last few games I’ve started to get into the swing of things and it’s been going pretty well, so the confidence is pretty high at the moment and long may it continue”
He added “It felt like the first couple of games, haven’t not played for so long with the lockdown and stuff, it sort of took a while to get back into things, but I feel like now, I’m sort of feeling the grove coming back in so it’s been good”.
