New Thomastown United Manager Davy Doyle says he has been well received since coming into the club.

Thomastown host newly promoted Bridge United in their first game of the season in the Premier Division on Sunday morning, and speaking to KCLR, Davy says he has been very impressed with how pre-season has gone.

“The main thing for me would be hoping that everybody on Thomastown is pulling in the same direction which I have to say I have got a very good reception. It was a big move with Freebooters there since I was 5 or 6 and it was a big move but it’s re-invigorated me and hopefully it has re-invigorated them, but things have been going well at the moment. The set-up down there at the moment it’s 2nd to none”
