After a busy weekend of hurling action in Kilkenny, the draw for the St. Canice’s Credit Union Senior Hurling Championship semi-finals have been made.
Ballyhale Shamrocks will play the winners of James Stephens and Erins Own.
2015 champions Clara will play Bennettsbridge.
Games are fixed for Sunday 14 October.
How they got there
On Saturday, Erins Own edged Carrickshock by two points in their first round replay to book a quarter final spot against James Stephens. That game gets played out this coming weekend.
Clara were first out in action on Sunday, seeing off O’Loughlin Gaels 2-12 to 0-16.
Bennettsbridge made the short trip to Thomastown to take on Mullinavat at 2pm on Sunday, taking a 1-17 to 2-8 result home with them.
The fancied tie of the weekend was in Callan after 4pm on Sunday with last year’s champions Dicksboro taking on Ballyhale Shamrocks.
While injury concerns were there for both sides heading into the game, it was Shamrocks who came out on top of a high scoring affair. Their 1-24 to 1-19 victory sets up a semi-final clash with either the Village or Castlecomer.
