The fixtures for the 2024 Walsh Cup Senior Hurling competition have been announced.
The focus is on the clash between Leinster champions Kilkenny and Carlow at Netwatch Cullen Park on Sunday, January 7th.
The 2024 Walsh Cup features three groups, each comprising three teams:
Group 1:
- Carlow
- Kilkenny
- Wexford
Group 2:
- Antrim
- Westmeath
- Dublin
Group 3:
- Offaly
- Laois
- Galway

Round 1
The action kicks off on Thursday, January 4th, with Dublin facing Westmeath at Parnell Park and Laois taking on Offaly at Laois Hire O’Moore Park. Hurling enthusiasts are in for a treat as these teams battle for early supremacy in their respective groups.

Round 2
The spotlight then shifts to Sunday, January 7th, as the clash between Carlow and Kilkenny takes center stage at Netwatch Cullen Park. Simultaneously, the losers of the Dublin vs. Westmeath match will face Antrim at TEG Cusack Park or Parnell Park, while the losers of the Laois vs. Offaly encounter will go head-to-head with Galway at Ballinsloe or Tullamore.

On Sunday, January 14th, attention turns to Wexford, where the losers of the Carlow vs. Kilkenny match will face off against the home team at Chadwicks Wexford Park or Nowlan Park. Antrim and the winners of the Dublin vs. Westmeath clash will battle it out at TEG Cusack Park or Parnell Park, and Galway will face the winners of the Laois vs. Offaly match at Ballinsloe or Tullamore.

Semi-Finals
As the competition intensifies, the semi-finals on Sunday, January 21st, will see the winners of the Carlow vs. Kilkenny clash taking on Wexford at Chadwicks Wexford Park or Nowlan Park. Simultaneously, the winners of Group 2 will face off against the winners of Group 3 at a venue yet to be confirmed.

The Final Showdown
The grand finale is set for Sunday, January 28th, where the winners of Group 1 , Group 2, and Group 3 will battle for Walsh Cup glory.
