Kilkenny & District League u16 Soccer team have progressed to the All Ireland Inter League soccer final after a 4-1 win over Dublin & District League in Derdimus yesterday.
A spectacular free kick from Justin Maher had Kilkenny in front before Dublin equalised to go in 1-1 at the break.
However Kilkenny turned on the style in the second half with Ciaran Brennan on target twice and Mark Power also finding the net to give Ronnie Grace’s charges the victory.
It was a remarkable result considering Dublin had defeated Kilkenny 8-0 in the group stages.
Kilkenny now face Waterford in the Final at Cahir Park FC grounds on May 21st.
