Kilkenny U21 manager Eddie Brennan says his side will learn from last years defeat to Westmeath and use it when they face them tomorrow night.

The cats travel to Mullingar for the 7.30 throw in and Carlow are also in action against Wexford in Wexford at the same time.

Eddie says the team are a year older and will be ready for the battle tomorrow night….

“You use days that you come up short as motivation, you look back and say, what did I learn from that?”

“I just think, the guys are a year more mature, a year stronger within themselves, they challenge themselves enough to say you know last year they were physically beaten in tackles and they didn’t hurl as good as they could have, can they improve? absolutely”

“So far we are pleased with where our lads are going, are we ready to take on Westmeath? yeah we definately are, and its all about getting the heads tuned in now”

We have LIVE commentary of the game here on KCLR
