Kilkenny United’s Bethany Carroll (front row, fourth from left) is the latest on the local front to be considered for international football.
Following a string of solid displays this season, Carroll has been called up for trials with the U19 Republic of Ireland squad. Kilkenny United picked up another rare win this season with a 3-1 victory over TEK United in the opening round of the FAI Women’s Senior Cup at the weekend.
New manager Casey McQuillan saysthat it is “great to see Bethany Carroll’s hard work for Kilkenny United being recognised. She’s a great future in the game with her attitude.”
