Having last weekend off, we’re into round three of the Allianz National Hurling League and this this weekend couldn’t be bigger for Kilkenny.
Having bounced back last against Tipperary in round two following their league opening defeat at the hands of Waterford, Kilkenny welcome Galway to Nowlan Park at 2pm on Sunday in a repeat of last year’s All-Ireland Senior Hurling Final.
Like Kilkenny, Galway have one win from two and at even at this stage of the league, the fixture can be regarded as a crunch clash, taking place under the eye of Barry Kelly.
Galway enjoyed a 1-27 to 1-21 win over Cork on the same day Kilkenny lost to Waterford but they were denied a second straight win by a strong Dublin side two weeks ago, heading home on the back of a 1-17 to 0-13 loss.
We’ll bring you full commentary live from Nowlan park at 2pm on Sunday with thanks to Countrystyle Foods.
Live Reports from Carlow Hurling & Football
Carlow’s hurlers are at home this Sunday afternoon and welcome Derry to Netwatch Cullen Park.
The footballers head for the hills at 2.30pm when they take on Wicklow in Aughrim in the hope of coming away with a better result than Sunday when they lose out to Waterford at Netwatch Cullen Park on a 3-15 to 0-15 scoreline.
KCLR will have eyes and ears at both games and we’ll be bringing you live reports throughout both games and both halves.
