Former Kilkenny hurler Adrian Ronan says the county is always going to be at the top table in the championship regardless of opinions.

A few of the cats big name players retired or stepped aside this year leaving Brian Cody and the selectors a task of building a team without them.

Adrian told scoreline that Limerick are the team to beat but never underestimate Kilkenny.

“Obviously Limerick are a serious outfit but we did catch them in 2019 with that great semi final performance” said Adrian.

“We need to reinvent ourselves a little bit and that’s the challenge for Brian Cody and Conor Phelan and Martin Comerford to reinvent the wheel and try and get the best out of the group we have”.

“When you have TJ Reid and Richie Hogan, when you have magicians like them, anything can happen” he added.
