It’s a big day for local man Damien Vereker who is in action at the Paralympics in Rio today.
Damien- who hails from Kilmacow- is taking part in his first Paralympic games as a cyclist.
He recently took home first place at the Road Race at the Cycling World Cup in South Africa and has been working hard ahead of today’s Individual B pursuit Qualifier which is due to commence at 3.45pm Irish Time.
Damien will be assisted by Sean Hahessy and the final of the Individual B pursuit is scheduled to take place tonight around 9.35pm
