Kilkenny’s injury woes seem to be getting greater with news that another player picked up an injury in training last week

After the news a few weeks ago that Miriam Walsh would be out for the remainder of the season, the Kittens have been dealt another huge blow with the news that Danielle Morrissey could be also out for the season. At training last week the Conahy star picked up a serious injury, she was seen in UPMC Nowlan Park on Saturday last on crutches.

After the game, Brian Dowling spoke to KCLR’s Martin Quilty:

“Danielle Morrissey picked up a serious injury at training on Thursday night, she’s getting a scan done this evening in Dublin. Early signs don’t look good for her, it’s a pity because she came back and she was buzzing, she came on the last day and scored a goal right away, so fingers crossed she’ll get some good news.”

Morrissey was part of the Kilkenny intermediate team that reached the League Final this year against Cork earlier this year and featured in both games (drawn and replay) before being drafted to the senior team for their semi-final clash with Westmeath.
