Lucy Coogan’s star continues to rise in the world of basketball.
Having helped Loreto Kilkenny to the South East cup against Mercy Waterford last week, Coogan has been named to Ireland Women’s Under 18 squad for the 2022 season.
Head coach Tommy O’Mahany announced the Irish panel for the forthcoming season yesterday, including five players from Liffey Celtics, two each from Brunell BC, LYIT/Letterkenny Blaze and Waterford Wildcats.
“We are very eager to get working with this group of players, they understand that there is a lot of work to do and that there are certain standards in which they have to reach in order for us to be competitive in Europe”, said O’Mahony following the squad announcement.
“They have shown some great aggression and some great skill and we can’t wait for the next stage in this process”.
