It’s turning out to be a busy week for fans of teams wearing black and amber.
Kilkenny’s senior hurlers will get their Leinster championship off to a home start against Westmeath in a game preceded by the U20 championship meeting of Kilkenny and Dublin. For the minor hurlers this weekend, it’s a trip to Kilcormac on Sunday as Offaly host Niall Bergin’s side at Faithful Fields for a place in the semi-finals of this year’s Electric Ireland Leinster minor hurling championship.
It’s an early one too with a 12pm throw-in but if you fancy a trip to the midlands, it’s tickets-in-advance only and they’re available here.
An all-ticket affair too awaits Kilkenny camogie fans with Shem Kelly’s intermediates heading back to Tipperary for the second time in a week as they face Cork in a replay of their VERY Camogie League Division 2B final. Last time out it was a 3pm throw-in on Saturday at Clonmel Commercials but for the replay there’s a trip to The Ragg in store for a 2pm throw-in this coming Saturday afternoon. Tickets are available here via Universe.com.
Mike Wall’s Kilkenny minor camogie stars find themselves in an All-Ireland semi-final too this coming Sunday as they take on Waterford in Tipperary, this one at Nenagh Éire Óg at 4pm on Sunday afternoon.
A win for Kilkenny in that game would set up an All-Ireland final in UPMC Nowlan Park on 7 May.
