Kilkenny County Board Chairman Ned Quinn says Kilkenny’s success has come from the work been done in Schools and Development Squads.
Speaking live on last nights Drive for Liam Quiz, Ned says all of the work been done at juvenile level helps to produce players in the Senior panel.
“Well to me the All-Ireland Hurling Final is the greatest sporting occasion in Ireland and there would 82,000 odd people in Croke Park and 100s of thousands of people watching in from all over the world”
“I would describe Kilkenny Hurling as the pyramid and the County Team is the top of the pyramid, but at the bottom you have the families, you have the clubs, you have the schools and you have the various County Board like Development Squads and that, and all of the work that is going on at those levels is helping to produce the players that end up in Brian’s squad”
