Former Kilkenny Senior Hurler John Power says that the National League competition has been diluted.
Speaking to KCLR ahead of Sunday’s League clash in Wexford, John says the fact that their is no relegation has lessened the importance of the competition.
“I said it last year, the League at the moment is the old Walsh Cup and the League Championship now is the new League, and then the Championship starts when you qualify out of that so I think the League is after been diluted a bit” said John.
“I don’t think any of the managers are losing an awful lot of sleep about it only on individual days maybe they shout for a win on a particular day, but I think in the overall thing especially when there is no relegation I think the big relevance of the League is diluted to a degree”.
