Kilkenny City bowed out of the Leinster Junior Championship at the weekend after being beaten by a more experience Tinryland/Bennekerry team from Carlow. The final score in the game in Palmerstown was 2-7 to 6-11

NATIONAL BLITZ
Saturday sees the big recreational, sporting and social event of the year for Mothers and Others as the National G4M+O blitz takes place at the Naomh Mearnog Club in Portmarnock. Among the local entrants are Piltown, Erins Own and Thomastown. For the past few years there has been an Exhibition Village at the venue for companies to showcase their products and services and it has proved popular with the ladies. Over 2000 participants will take part in this years competition the 2FM Roadcaster will be broadcasting live from the venue. Once again Ireland’s Mr Motivator, Richard Clifford will conduct them mass warm up.
