The last 16 ties at this year’s PDC World Darts Championship have been confirmed following Thursday afternoon’s action at the Alexandra Palace.
The first two matches take place on Thursday evening as 2021 champion Gerwyn Price takes on 17th seed Jose De Sousa.
Price got the better of five-time champion Raymond van Barneveld earlier this week, while Portuguese native De Sousa came from 3-0 behind to defeat Ryan Searle.
The last game of the night sees Jonny Clayton and Northern Irish youngster Josh Rock face off in a mouth-watering tie.
The remaining six matches are split between Friday’s two sessions.
There’s an all-Belgian affair first up as Kim Huybrechts meets Dimitri Van den Bergh.
Huybrechts surprisingly eliminated defending champion Peter Wright in the previous round, while Van den Bergh is hoping to add the biggest prize of them all to the World Matchplay Championship he won in 2020.
Gabriel Clemens then faces the unseeded Scot Alan Soutar in the middle game of the opening session.
The afternoon is rounded off when last year’s runner-up Michael Smith continues his march towards a first world title against the in-form Joe Cullen.
