Leinster have confirmed that they will face Italian side Zebre at the RDS in Round 3 of the United Rugby Championship.
The province will begin the new season at the Aviva Stadium but can allow for 75% capacity for their third round clash with Zebre at the RDS.
That means all of their season ticket holders, of which there are over 12,000, will have a seat available to them upon Leinster’s return to their home ground.
Leo Cullen’s side get their campaign up and running when they host the Bulls at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday at 5.15pm.
That game will take place at the home of Irish rugby and Irish soccer due to concerns that were previously raised around capacity at the RDS under past public-health restrictions. Those restrictions could have seen some season ticket holders not be able to attend the game.
Last season’s champions faced Premiership champions Harlequins in a pre-season fixture at the Aviva at the start of the month. That game was open to 15,000 supporters.
However, at Leinster Supporters club AGM on Wednesday night, there was confirmation that fans can make their much-awaited return to the RDS for the visit of Zebre on October 9th.
