Limerick Under-21 Hurling manager Pat Donnelly says the upcoming All-Ireland Final against Kilkenny is a 50-50 clash.
Speaking after Saturday’s Semi-Final victory over Galway, Pat says they have been looking forward to getting a game against Kilkenny.
“We are back in an All-Ireland Final, three years after the Minor Final. We met Kilkenny in the Minor Final, and I was in the backroom, Brian Ryan was the manager and look they came up short that day.
“I think these lads were looking forward to getting a game against Kilkenny, be it whatever stage it was.
“But now it’s in the Final so they went up as favorites that year. We might go in this year as slight favorites but it’s going to be 50-50. We won’t be taking anything for granted, it’s going to be a huge challenge.
“Whoever plays better on the day is going to win, it’s as simple as that,” he concluded.
