Limerick’s Tom Morrissey believes the extra break will give them the upper hand against Kilkenny in the All-Ireland hurling semi-final this weekend.
The reigning All-Ireland champions haven’t played since winning the Munster final on June 30, while the Cats were out in the quarters two weeks ago.
The game takes place on Saturday in Croke Park, with Kilkenny looking to get to their first showpiece since 2016.
Morrissey doesn’t think the layoff with affect their intensity.
