Carlow put in their first strong “70 minute performance” in two years to claim a convincing win over Westmeath in Netwatch Cullen Park on Sunday afternoon.
Having slipped to Down in the opening round of the league, Sunday’s clash gave the hosts a chance to make amends for their Keogh Cup Final defeat at the end of January and they did so with ease.

Final score at Netwatch Cullen Park was Carlow 1-20, Westmeath 1-14.
