Goals in either half from Mossy Keoghan and another from TJ Reid helped the Cats to a 3-25 to 0-17 over a Dublin side who, pre-game at least, were in pole position for a spot in this year’s Leinster senior hurling final.

The result leaves Kilkenny trailing Galway by a point at the top of the Leinster championship meaning a positive result against Wexford this coming Saturday should send the Cats to the final, with Galway hosting Dublin in Salthill to decide their fate. Wexford will have to beat Kilkenny if they’re to stay in this summer’s championship.
