Mount Leinster Rangers v St. Mullins, JJ Kavanagh & Sons Carlow senior hurling final
In a repeat of last year’s decider, the two early favourites this season would meet again in Netwatch Cullen Park at 4pm on Sunday where the defending county champions came undone at the hands of a goal-hungry Mount Leinster Rangers. Glenmore vs James Stephens, St Canice’s Credit Union Kilkenny Senior Hurling League Round 2
With both sides having opened their account with a win last week, the Village may have had a slight favourites tag going into this one but in a tit-for-tat encounter, Glenmore came up trumps again to move onto four points and make it two wins from two to start the league end of the championship. Clara vs Danesfort, St Canice’s Credit Union Kilkenny Senior Hurling League Round 2
Following disappointing defeats for both sides in Round 1, a relatively low-scoring first half saw Clara spring to life in the second half as they left Bennettsbridge with 10 points to spare and two of their own on the board heading into Round 3. Erin’s Own vs Ballyhale Shamrocks, St Canice’s Credit Union Kilkenny Senior Hurling League Round 2
Also on Saturday evening, we saw Erin’s Own go up against defending senior county champions Ballyhale Shamrocks with both sides looking for their first win of the campaign. Despite their best efforts, however, Shamrocks couldn’t get it over the line against a resilient ‘Comer side with the game ending in a 1-20 apiece draw. Listen back below to recap the game in full.

O’Loughlin Gaels v Dicksboro, St Canice’s Credit Union Kilkenny Senior Hurling League Round 2
This weekend’s coverage began with a cracker in the James Stephens grounds with the first city derby of the campaign as Dicksboro and O’Loughlin Gaels, both of whom put in convincing performances in their round 1 victories, locked horns with the ‘Boro coming out three points to the good and make it two wins from two in the process.
