Carlow Senior Hurling Manager Colm Bonnar says that Wexford laid down a marker with their comprehensive beating of UCD last Sunday.
The two counties clash in the Walsh Cup in Netwatch Cullen Park on Sunday, and Colm told KCLR that Sunday’s game will be a challenge to look forward to.
“I suppose we were thrown into the Lions den having gone up to Parnell Park to play Dublin and we competed well enough for long periods of it. For the last 5 or 6 minutes, Dublin put on a few scores to beat us so yeah initially we were okay like, but we know Wexford at this moment are flying it handing out a 35-point beating to UCD only last weekend and I think their were over 3,000 people at their game so they are at a real up at the moment and it’s going to be a game to look forward to for our lads”
