Waterford Senior Hurling Manager Derek McGrath says that Kilkenny are still the standard bearers in Ireland along with Tipperary.
Speaking to KCLR, Derek says that anyone who is writing Kilkenny off is talking complete nonsense.
“(Kilkenny Hurling is) at the top of the pile where it always is and to be honest with you I can’t understand anyone who would enter into that debate its either absolute cuteness or its just people who have absolutely no knowledge of what’s going on.
“If Richie Leahy, Pat Lyng and Luke Scanlon etc were in Waterford they would be on the panel two or three years ago. The reality is the barometer is set by Kilkenny and Tipperary and anyone that enters into a debate on it is (talking) complete nonsense.”
