On Wednesday this week, John Keane and the KCLR Lunch crew went out and about in Clara with thanks to David Buggy Motors.
Setting up stall at St. Colman’s Clara National School, John spoke to Paddy Prendergast, Matt O’Keeffe, club president Tom Brennan, Neans McSweeney, Caroline Clifford, Richie Mulrooney and wealth of pupils from the school ahead of this weekend’s county final clash with O’Loughlin Gaels.
Having won the senior title in 2013, giving Lester Ryan captaincy of Kilkenny for their 2014 victory in Croke Park over Tipperary, Clara were defeated at the final stages last year, losing out to Ballyhale Shamrocks.

With many tipping Ballyhale to repeat their county final success this year, O’Loughlin Gaels stormed past them in the semi-final stage to put them on course for their first senior title since 2010.
