St. Patricks Athletics Under-17 National League medal winner Paul Martin says that Vale Wanderers Coach Jim Reilly has been a big influence in the development of his career.
Paul and his twin brother John from Paulstown played a central part in St. Pats Under-17 League of Ireland of victory, and speaking to KCLR, Paul says that the move to Shelbourne was a step forward in their careers.
“Jim got us to sign when we were around 7 or that for Vale. We set out for three years and we moved onto to New Oak then. Jim and some of our teammates came with us as well and it was a great few years with Jim and that. He had a big influence on us. When the friendly against Shelbourne came, we both played well. Our friend Shane as well played well so we moved on to Shelbourne then with him so it was good stuff from there”
On Sunday Paul and John popped in to KCLR Studios to talk about their recent success with St Pat’s Athletic in winning the under 17 Airtricity League.
