After victories over Wicklow & Longford in the group stages, Carlow booked themselves a prelim quarter-final.
They are set to take on New York, for the first time ever in a Championship game, after the stateside team bypassed all group-stage games.
However, there was concern regarding the fixture, as hundreds of wildfires burning across Canada have caused numerous flights to be delayed and halted in the Big Apple. But they have made it and would love to build on a successful campaign already where they recently made history by beating Leitrim to win for the first time in the Connacht Senior Football Championship at the 23rd attempt.
