With a place in this year’s Joe McDonagh Cup final at stake – and a trip to Croke Park to boot – Carlow face one of their biggest tests of the season this Saturday.
When they met in the league earlier this year, Offaly came away with the win, showing off their championship credentials at the time. Now Carlow get to put theirs to the test against a side already assured of a place in this year’s final.
In the same situation not too long ago, Carlow needed to make the trip to Tullamore and come away with a win against Offaly while chasing a Joe McDonagh Cup final spot and they got the job done only for results elsewhere to go against them. Now, destiny is in their hands and a win would send the senior hurlers to Croke Park for a big day out later this month.
Join us at 5.30pm on Saturday evening as Carlow put their unbeaten run on the line in the hope of taking maximum points this weekend, with Brendan Hennessy and Terence Kelly calling the action at Netwatch Cullen Park.
