Handball Coach Colm Love says that Shane Dunne’s path to All-Ireland Minor glory was marked from the moment he lost last years All-Ireland Minor Final.

Speaking to KCLR, Colm says that Shane’s success this year was just rewards for his commitment to the game.

“Last year he was beat in the All-Ireland Final. He was very disappointed, but this year he came back and put in a massive effort in training, and he told me coming out in the Alley last year, he said and as disappointed and all as he was, he said I will win this All-Ireland next year and he had a hard road. He had a hard Leinster Final against Daniel Kavanagh of Wexford. Very good Athlete. Player, but his training no problem, he just puts it in, he looks after himself, his diet, sacrifices a lot in his own personal life as well”
