Sean Flanagan says that being a course specialist will suit his mount Rashann in today’s feature race at Clonmel, which is the Clonmel Oil Chase.

Rashaan is trained in Bagenalstown by Colin Kidd, and speaking ahead of today’s feature Sean says he can excel if he takes to a particular course.

“Colin has done a super job with the horse that was very well bought.

“He’s a funny old horse if he likes the track he does excel there, he won two flat races down there and in Down Royal he has won 4 or 5 races, so when he takes to a course he excels.

“I won the race last year on Alpha Des Obeaux like and it would be great to go back and win it again.

“He is a horse with a massive chance going forward,” he said.
