Carlows Marcus Lawler finished 2nd in the Flanders International meeting in Belgium at the weekend where he picked up a European Senior Championships qualifying time.
The championships takes place in Amsterdam in July.
Elsewhere Adam Murphy from IT Carlow had a treble for the Irish University’s team in Scotland.
He won the 100m, 200m, and 4x100m relay while Brian Kirwan finished 2nd in the 3000m steeplechase.
