O Loughlin Gaels hurler Mark Bergin will captain the Kilkenny Senior Hurlers for 2017.
The county champions have put forward his name for the honour following fellow club men the Comerford brothers and Brian Hogan in leading the cats.
He takes over from Clara’s Shane Prendergast.
