Carlow Minor Camogie Manager Mark Brennan says that reaching an All-Ireland Minor Roinn B Semi-Final against Antrim is a huge milestone for the county.
Speaking to KCLR ahead of Saturday’s game, Mark says they are looking forward to the mammoth challenge ahead.
“We have played Down, Meath, we have played Laois and we played Roscommon in our last game so we are going quite well”, says Brennan.
“This is a new territory for us. We have never played in the B All-Ireland before and to get to the semi-final, I wouldn’t say it was unexpected, but it’s another huge milestone for Carlow Camogie“.
“I think it’s a first time we have ever reached a B Semi-Final in the Championship so we are proud of the girls. It’s going to be a mammoth task on Saturday but we are looking forward to it.”
Antrim v Carlow throws in at Inniskeen Grattans GAA, Monaghan, this Saturday at 2.30pm. Extra time will be played if required, with Philip McDonald booked to referee. At the same time in St. Brendan’s Park, Birr, Laois will take on Westmeath in the day’s other semi-final.
