In a thrilling match that unfolded in Mallow on Wednesday evening, Mary Immaculate College Limerick secured their spot in the Electric Ireland Fitzgibbon Cup final with a commanding victory over SETU Waterford.

Having clinched back-to-back titles in 2016 and 2017, Mary Immaculate College is now on the cusp of making history in the prestigious hurling competition. Let’s delve into the highlights of the recent semi-final clash and explore the potential for a historic three-peat.

The clash between Mary Immaculate College and SETU Waterford unfolded with intense action on the field, culminating in a final score of 2-18 to 2-12 in favor of Mary Immaculate College. Noteworthy local players Bennettsbridge player Jamie Harkin and Slieverue’s William Halpin, made substitute appearances for SETU Waterford. On the opposing side, Slieverue’s Craig Phelan contributes to Mary Immaculate’s impressive panel set to compete in the Fitzgibbon Cup final however did not make an appearance in the semi-final.
